Statement of 24 September 2026 · Reviewed at every release
We want every crew member to be able to use CrewBag. We are not there yet. This page says what works today, what does not, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
What this statement covers
CrewBag is a personal reference app for airline crew: roster, duties, logbook and briefing material. This statement covers the website at crewbag.app and the CrewBag app for iPhone and iPad, which is in early testing.
The standard we work toward
Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA, as used by the European standard EN 301 549. It is a target. We do not claim that the site or the app conforms to it today, and no one has audited either yet.
What is in place today
- Text size in the app. Most text uses the iOS text styles, so it follows the size you choose in Settings. On the duty page, the tiles move to a single column at the largest sizes.
- VoiceOver labels. Many controls have spoken labels, for example the weather controls on the route map, the calculators and the logbook buttons.
- Colour is off by default. The app ships with no colour rules of its own. Until you switch a rule on, values appear as plain text, and every rule you switch on names where its numbers come from.
- Notices in words. The reminder that your official documents decide appears as a written sentence on the screens that need it, never as a colour or an icon alone.
- Contrast on this site. In the light theme, orange text on the home, policy and account pages uses a darker orange chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio.
Known gaps
Each of these is planned. We give no dates until the work is scheduled.
- Some app screens still use fixed text sizes. The monthly roster grid limits how far its text grows, and its day cells have no spoken label.
- The app does not yet follow the iOS Reduce Motion setting.
- In Settings, the signed-in state is shown by a green tick on an orange badge, which relies on colour and has low contrast.
- On the weather demonstration page, the on and off state of the map controls is shown only visually and is not announced to screen readers.
- Some orange text on the pricing and comparison pages, and the borders of form fields, are below the contrast target.
- There are no automated accessibility tests yet, and no accessibility audit has been carried out.
Tell us about a barrier
If something in CrewBag stops you or slows you down, write to with "Accessibility" in the subject. Say what you were trying to do, on which screen or page, and which device and settings you use.
What we do with it:
- We log your report with a reference and confirm we have it.
- We reproduce the barrier and decide the fix.
- We tell you what we found and what we will change.
- When the fix ships, the release notes say so, and this page is updated.
We answer every report.
