Plain language
You're asking for a seat in an alpha test — an even earlier stage than a beta. It's free, a seat isn't guaranteed, the app is early software for reference only, and you can leave the list any time with one email. That's genuinely all this page says.
1. What the waitlist is
- Joining the waitlist is a request for a CrewBag TestFlight (or Android testing) seat — not a purchase, not a subscription, and not a promise of a seat. Invitations go out in small groups, at our discretion, as testing capacity opens.
- There is no cost and no obligation. Leaving the list is one email to mat@crewbag.app — we delete your entry.
2. What we do with your details
- Exactly what the Privacy & GDPR page says: your email, base, operator and platform are used to arrange your seat, and the optional emails only if you ticked them. Nothing else, nobody else, EU-hosted.
3. Points, referrals & polls
- Points are queue currency, not money. They rank you in the waitlist at your base and may later unlock perks we announce. They have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and aren't a payment for work.
- Points come from inviting colleagues (some when they join and verify, more when they start using the app — values vary by airline and by time-limited boosts), and from optional weekly polls. Boost values and point rules may change at any time; points already earned stay earned.
- Fair play: fake signups, invented airlines, self-referrals, or automated farming get points removed and can void the entry. One person, one seat.
- Your chosen @handle and your points are visible to other crew at your base and airline on the base list, and your handle appears on invite banners for links you share. Pick a handle you're happy showing in a crew room; you can change it monthly.
- Poll answers are stored with your seat, shown only to you, and you can erase them any time (points stay — they paid for your time, not your data).
4. If you get a seat
- The app you'll test is alpha software — before beta, before any release candidate: things will occasionally be wrong, missing, or broken. That's what an alpha is, and finding those things is exactly the help we're asking for.
- CrewBag is a personal reference tool. It is not an operational document, not part of your airline's EFB, and never a substitute for your official roster, briefing or manuals. Always verify against your official documents.
- Apple's TestFlight terms (or Google's testing terms on Android) also apply to the test build itself.
5. Airline setups you contribute
Setup files you create in the app are yours and live only on your devices — we never receive them. If you ask us to build or curate a setup for your airline, we keep a minimal record of that contribution (your account, the setup, our review dates). It survives account deletion — it is our proof of where a setup came from — as the privacy policy explains.
6. The boring-but-honest part
- The waitlist and any alpha seat are provided "as is", free of charge; to the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for alpha defects — and nothing in these terms limits liability that consumer law says can't be limited, or affects your statutory rights (including everything on the privacy page).
- We may update these terms; the version you accepted is recorded with your entry, and material changes will be shown to you before they apply.
